The voestalpine Group has opened a new plant in its metal forming division, in Shenyang, China.

The facility will produce ultra-high strength body-in-white parts for automotive customers. A total of around €25 million has been invested to date in constructing the plant which will employ a staff of around 70 during the first phase. Further expansion phases are already planned.
