Magnesium Oxide is white, amorphous,odorless ,smell-less and nontoxic.It can also be soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution ,be difficult to dissolve in water and be slightly soluble in alcohol. It can be changed into crystal by high-temperature burning above 1000oC and into dead-burned magnesium oxide or sintered magnesium oxide above 1500oC.When meeting with carbon dioxide and moisture in the air gradually ,it will be converted into magnesium carbonate.
Used as refractory materials, rubber packing, used in the manufacture of paint, paint, cosmetics, magnesia cement and medicine, etc.
